Five Street Inspired Artists Participate In ?Underground? Exhibit at the Jeanie Madsen Gallery -- February 19th - March 31, 2011

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) February 27, 2011

Director Jeanie Madsen of the Jeanie Madsen Gallery understood the cultural significance of Underground Art long before its current explosion in the public's consciousness. Jeanie, an undergound artist herself, has said that "these times require us to challenge the status quo, which is what street artists have been doing for decades."

?Underground? features former street artist Ryan Jesena, now street photographer (and DJ) who documents walls of famous street artists from Bansky to Obey. Since public space walls change daily, most street art captured may never be seen again. This makes Ryan's shots exclusive.

Joyce Hill, graffiti art photographer, creates her own graffiti walls by combining her street photography with her own abstract art into mixed media collages. Her images are captured from around the world.

Other featured "Underground" Artists include Scott Horton?s acrylic mix media, Moris Tepper?s mixed media abstracts and Helena Gullstrom?s sculptural cement paintings.

JMG also features underground, avant garde fashion designers, including Madsen?s own ?wearable art? designs.
